Radioactivity

Radioactivity has many differnet parts. For one it has Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Rays. There are many differences between them some differences are that Alpha and Beta are electriaclly charged, but Alpha particles are the least penetrating of there primary forms of radiation and they cannt travel to more than four to seven inches in air. If raddioactive material is inhaled or ingested thaey can be a very damging source of radition for people. Beta particles travel faster and penetrate more thn Alpha does. They can travel from a few millimeter up to about 10 yard in open air. Beta radiation is generally a slight harmful but too much exposure can lead to skin burns and they can do a oot of internal damage. Gamma rays are just like x rays and the are the most hazardous type of external radiation, because they can travel up to a mile in open air and penetrate objects. Gamma rays can damage tissues and organes with sources outside of the body.

Fusion and fission are completly two differnt things, Fusion is when you take two or more lighter atoms and fuse it to a larger one. Fission is when you split a large atom into two or samller ones. So basically Fusion and Fission are basically the complete opposites. Fusion usually occurs in stars, such as the sun whereas fission does not occur in nature. Fusion arent as radioactive as fisson is but when a fission trigger is used the particles will be radioactive. Fusions conditions are that they are high in density, temperature and the enviorment is required for it to carry on. Fission on the other hand have a critical mass and high speed neutrons are required. Fusion usually takes high energy to bring to or more protons together to overcome into a electrostatic repulsion. Fission takes little enrgy to split two atoms.
This is what happens during fissionThe Fusion Process
Left- Fission
 Right - Fusion

Nuclear energy is when uranium atoms are being split through fission, at the power plant where fission process is going on its used to generate heat for production steam which then is used by a turbine to generate the electricity we use. Nuclear energy is a good natural energy source, but is not a good alternative for us. A better alternative for electricity could be wind mills. There are some places that are field of windmills that have a fan on them and when they spin the generate electricity and if we had enough all over the world we could run off on the wind instead of wasting uranium atoms and causing smoke to lead to the atmosphere. Also nuclear energy is very hazardous and dangerous if something were to go wrong such as if the pumps and machines that do the fission somehow fail in any way then there will be so much radiation that will be released in the air causing health problems. Also causing a nuclear meltdown.

Why Chemistry is the most important science.

Chemistry is the most important science, because it involves the chemical make up of everything in the world and its reactions. Everything in the wold is chemistry, without chemistry we wouldnt be able to learn about how differnet things react with each other and the make up of other objects. Chemistry is also the main branch of science which it comes from.  If there was no such thing as chemistry then we all will not be here nothing in world will be. Its basically the building blocks of life. One example dna is chemicals and it shows how we look, blood type, hair color, skin color, and tall or short. These are some of the reasons why chemistry is the most important.
Here are some pictures:
This is an atom, an atom is a piece of matter. Atoms make up matter.
